Anna Edwards is an Interaction Designer and Freelance Artist based out of Long Island, New York. With a strong focus on accessibility, Anna organizes information and designs intuitive solutions to create exceptional user experiences. Her unique perspective stems from her commitment to inclusive design, blending creativity and functionality in Interaction and Product Design.

 

Career

As a freelance artist, Anna's portfolio includes painting logos on gym floors, designing large-scale murals for private showrooms in New York City, canvas and wood paintings, and more. By experimenting with color, texture, and technique, Anna ensures that her art reflects both the client's vision and the space's character. She is currently a Business Development Coordinator for KGI Design Group, and a Media Manager for Quality Island Landscaping.

Internship

Anna recently gained hands-on experience through a summer internship program with Jones Beach Theatre and Live Nation, where she collaborated with a team to design an accessibility tool tailored to the venue and its concert-goers' experiences.

Volunteer Work

In addition to her design work, Anna has experience teaching art to students with special needs at the Spirit of Huntington Art Center. She developed and taught projects for classes ranging from preschool to high school and provided one-on-one guidance to students, ensuring a supportive and engaging learning environment.  "Process over Product" was a methodology that was of high importance to her and to the art center.
 

Combining her artistic background with her expertise in Interaction Design, Anna creates visually appealing, functional, and accessible designs. Her strong communication skills and approachable demeanor make her an asset to any team or project.
