ANNA EDWARDS
MULTIDISCIPLINARY CREATIVE
01 | DESIGN
Anna Edwards is an Interaction Designer and Mixed-Media Artist based in Long Island, New York. She graduated from Farmingdale State College in 2024 with a Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, where she developed a foundation in user experience, visual communication, research, prototyping, and accessible design. Anna’s approach to Interaction Design centers around making information easier to understand and experiences easier to navigate. She is particularly interested in the intersection of accessibility, visual design, and functionality, creating work that is not only visually engaging, but intentional and approachable.
02 | FINE ART
Alongside her design career, Anna is a freelance mixed-media artist whose work spans murals, canvas and wood paintings, custom artwork, and large-scale environmental pieces. Her experience includes painting logos on gym floors, creating murals for private showrooms in New York City, and developing custom artwork for individual clients and businesses. Working across both digital and physical mediums allows Anna to bring a different perspective to each project. She experiments with color, texture, materials, and technique while considering the environment and the people who will experience the finished work. Whether designing a digital interface or painting a physical space, she looks for ways to balance creativity, functionality, and the character of the project.
03 | ACCESSIBILITY & INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE
During her time at Farmingdale State College, Anna gained hands-on experience in accessibility-focused design through a summer internship with Jones Beach Theater and Live Nation. Working collaboratively with a team, she helped design an accessibility tool intended to better support the venue and improve the concert-going experience for its guests. The experience strengthened her interest in inclusive design and reinforced the importance of considering different users, abilities, and perspectives throughout the design process.
04 | COMMUNITY & ART EDUCATION
Anna has also worked with the Spirit of Huntington Art Center, where she taught art to students with special needs. She developed and led projects for students ranging from preschool through high school while also providing one-on-one guidance and support. A key philosophy throughout her teaching experience was “Process Over Product.” Rather than focusing solely on the finished piece, Anna encouraged students to explore materials, experiment, and develop their own creative approaches. This philosophy continues to influence the way she thinks about creativity and design today.
05 | TYING TOGETHER DIFFERENT BACKGROUNDS
Anna’s background in both Interaction Design and Fine Art allows her to approach projects from multiple perspectives. She brings together visual creativity, research, accessibility, communication, and hands-on making to create experiences that are both purposeful and engaging. Whether she is designing an interface, developing a brand experience, building a website, creating a mural, or experimenting with a new medium, Anna is interested in the same fundamental question: How can design make an experience better?
